Description
Replacement spindle assembly for Ferris and Snapper Pro part numbers 5416763 which has been superseded to 5416763FS.
This spindle fits specific 48-inch cut Ferris 400S & 500S & Snapper Pro S 40 zero-turn models.
The 6 mounting holes are not threaded per the OEM design. For proper installation, torque spindle mounting bolts to 25-30 ft-lbs (34-41 Nm). The part number for the mounting bolts is 704146 (SCREW, HEX, 5/16-18X1). Using the correct mounting bolt will cut the treads as you install them to secure the spindle. The diagram for the mowers using this spindle do not show washers or a nut.
